At Meridian Urgent Care, patients will be treated by a fully certified medical team. Our doctors are board-certified in family medicine, urgent care, and ambulatory medicine. They have also worked as emergency room doctors, family physicians, and even chief residents. They have seen thousands of patients in a wide variety of settings. Their experience and medical capabilities ensure that our patients receive the best care. For non-English speakers, one of our physicians is fluent in Vietnamese, French, and Spanish.


Just like any doctor's office, Meridian Urgent Care treats a variety of medical issues. We treat injuries such as broken bones, sprains, cuts, and abrasions. Our doctors have seen these types of injuries many times, including in emergency rooms, and are fully equipped to treat them. Patients also come to us with minor illnesses such as the flu, colds, coughs, infections, asthma, and nausea. We also regularly deal with sexually transmitted diseases, urinary infections, and other sexual health issues. We even treat work-related injuries, such as injured backs, and perform workplace physicals.

Dan Vasile, D.O.,Medical Director
(Meridian Urgent Care and Occupational Health)

Dr. Vasile’s impressive credentials include a chief residency at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center in New York, a graduate degree in Psychobiology from UCLA, and he recently passed the written examination part of the anti-aging and regenerative medicine board. He’s currently pursuing the oral examination in the field of anti-aging and regenerative medicine as well. Currently Dr. Vasile holds the status of a diplomat of the Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.

As a reflection of his belief in giving back to the community, Dr. Vasile is heavily involved in academia. Upon receiving his undergraduate from UCLA, Dr. Vasile earned his medical degree from Western University where he still teaches as an assistant professor. He is a guest lecturer at Riverside Community College for their physician assistant program. Dr. Vasile also serves as a clinical preceptor for students studying medicine, including physician assistant and nurse practitioner students from Riverside Community College and Western University and University of Southern California Physician Assistant Program.

Although Dr. Vasile’s first passion is patient care, he also serves as the Medical Director, President, and CEO of Meridian Urgent Care & Occupational Health.

Rajivinder Brar, D.O., PhD

Dr. Brar is board certified in family medicine having completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, NY. He is a graduate of the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ. Prior to his medical career Dr. Brar completed his PhD in Biophysics at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Along with his patient care duties Dr. Brar is still actively involved in basic medical research.

His current project involves the purification of a novel protein which metabolises oxidized polyunsaturated fatty acids. His other interests include playing guitar and traveling. Dr. Brar's primary location is Meridian Urgent Care in Apple Valley.

David P. Tran, MD

Dr. Tran has worked as a full time Emergency Room Physician at different hospitals in Los Angeles County. He did his residency at Martin Luther King General Hopsital. Dr. Tran is fluent in Vietnamese, French and Spanish.

Dr. Tran, primaraly works out of our Apple Valley and Hesperia locations.



Benon Mukasa, PA-C

Benon Mukasa, PA. graduated from Charles R. Drew Post Graduate Medical School, Medex program and has been a Physician Assistant for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in Occupational Health, Family and Urgent Care medicine. His other interests are hiking and camping in the great outdoors. He works primarily out of our Meridian Urgent Care and Occupational Health clinic in Hesperia.




Edward Velazquez, PA-C

A graduate of The Johns Hopkins University where he was a Class Officer and Class Representative. Ed was employed as a Physician Assistant in various settings such us: Pediatric Emergencies, Primary Care, Industrial, and Urgent Care settings since May 1977. Ed was the Newsletter Editor for the California Academy of Physician Assistants between 1993-2005, he also held the title of Immediate Past President of CAPA in 1998, President of CAPA in 1997, Leadership Fellow of the Physician Assistant Foundation of the American Academy of Physician Assistants between 1996-97, President Elect of CAPA in 1996, Vice President of CAPA in 1995, Director at Large of CAPA between 1993-1995, Inland Empire Local Group/CME Leader between 1992-1997.

Ed was in the in the United States Army between 1967-1969 where he received the Basic Training Outstanding Trainee Award, Advanced Infantry Training Commander's Trophy. He graduated The US Army Leadership Preparation Course and was based in South Korea between 1967-1968. Outside of work, Ed enjoys music, golf, flying, skiing, and fishing. He works primarily out of our DV Urgent Care in Rancho Cucamonga.

Pasha Fruman, PA-C

Pasha Fruman is a Physician Assistant who earned her degree at RCC/RCRMC Physician Assistant Program in Moreno Valley, Ca. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies and Medical Science at A. T. Stills University. Pasha has an extended background of 8 years in Neurodiagnostics & Neurosurgical Assisting at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, Ca prior to becoming a Physician Assistant. In her spare time, Pasha enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, reading and classical music.

Pasha primarily works out of our Barstow location.
